Tony's
Lookin' In My Country Eyes
Thanks to my sister I got to see
Tony my first time in Dec of 2005. Never once expecting anything
more than seeing someone do a tribute to Elvis and since my sister
and I had been going to lots of shows around and seen some good and
not so good, I just wasn’t sure what to expect.
Let
me tell you the performance that Tony did that day by far out did
any expectations I might have had. Then Tony came out on the stage
and he looked fine and when I heard him sing my heart just fell in
love and when he looked at me with those eyes I just wanted to reach
out and grab him. I knew then that I would be back for more and I
was the next two days.
I came back but saddened to know that the season was ending, I
wondered how did I go all of 2005 not knowing about Tony Roi and how
was I gona go through the winter and not see him again until March.
But that’s one of those have to things in life and I survived with
everyday looking forward to March 2006.
We had already had our seats reserved for one of the days of Tony’s
opening weekend and then managed to get the other two days It was
the greatest weekend of 2006 and I cant get enough I just want to be
there every weekend but life goes on so they say but not real sure
it does unless you can see Tony Roi.
Someone ask us at the show if I were an Elvis fan or a Tony Roi
fan? I said I started out an Elvis fan but I am all Tony fan now
(not that I’m not still an Elvis fan and always will be).
Tony does a tremendous job doing a tribute to Elvis but Tony does
moves that Elvis didn’t do and that’s just fine with me once you see
Tony and what moves he offer you.
YOU forget why you came to the show and then after that its all
TONY, TONY TONY TONY.
Tony makes you the fan feel like you are the only one in the
audience and the theater be full and that takes tremendous skill!!!
He looks into your eyes while singing and you think he is singing to
me, he is looking at me wooohooooooo then the screams begin my
sister and I have no voice when we leave.
Tony show is all well worth it and trust me if I could be there
every weekend I WOULD BE and lets not forget the Tango nobody can do
it like Tony, oh my goodness he is the greatest Entertainer I have
seen in Branson.
So opening weekend is over and we haven’t had enough. I have to go
back for more you would think next month would be sufficient but no
I had to go back the very next weekend it was my sisters birthday so
we decided we would make it for that day which was March 10 but as I
was coming up to my sisters I called her and said hey you wanna go
on Thursday?
Of course she said yeah and so off to Branson we went on Thursday
March 9 one day earlier than I thought I would get to see him and he
was on fire he blew the roof off the place from start to finish.
He was pausing and talking to the audience and I was so excited I
just yelled out GOD YOUR GORGEOUS and Tony just smiled and looked
and said Thank you thank you very much.
I could have just died right there. Once again he made me feel so
special. YOU just don’t find that in most of the shows today. So
then it’s the March 10 and time to go see him again. I thought 2 pm
was never gona get here the day went by so slow I was anxiously
waiting. Anyway on the way to Branson we listened to Tonys Cd. So I
am wired and ready then the show begins and then it goes to fast the
2 hours are gone before you know it.
But what a great show it was once again. He outdid himself, he sang
his heart out and moved all over that stage and smiled that smile
and looks at us with those beautiful eyes.
My sister and I are going absolutely crazy. We can’t sit still I
mean this man sings.
He takes a break, takes pictures with us. He takes time to sign
autographs after the show and you even get to get more pictures and
kisses if you want them and I always want mine.
In the show I took my scarf up there to wipe his face he soaked that
thing he wiped his face then his chest and down in his suit. Oh my
it was soaked
I never dreamed I would be so excited to have someone else’s body
funk but I would do it again and honestly I can’t wait till the next
time.
Last
week we had asked Tony to sing FEVER for my sister birthday. Today
and did he ever but the funny thing was when it came time to sing
the song we had lost the camera, we had to have Tony wait till we
could find the camera. I said WAIT WAIT!
Tony lost the camera. Tony turns to the band and says that’s not all
they have lost (wonder what he meant by that hehehehe), but we are
laughing and enjoying every moment spent with Tony and that’s what
makes his show the best.
What other performer would pause long enough for us to find our
camera? Tony is the one and only and that just shows how much he
loves his fans and we love him.
He will tell you this is my house you are in and let your hair down
and do what ever you feel and make as much noise as you want.
I think that everyone in that theater will agree there is nothing
lacking in the noise my sis and I make IN fact Richard used us for
an example yesterday he said if anyone needed to know how to act or
how much noise to make just look at us "hehehe" and be glad they are
in front of you.
He sings everything so beautiful hasn’t heard a song yet that he
doesn’t do well.
He sings Way Down, Moody Blue, Sylvia, Poke Salad Annie, Jail house
Rock and of course this one occasion he sang FEVER AND DID HE EVER
GIVE US A FEVER WE HAVE TONY FEVER AND THE ONLY CURE IS
TONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!
And just to show you how much fever we had we were leaving the show
heading home out of Branson we had Tony blasting in the cd player
and we were all singing to the top of lungs going down the street in
all that traffic and yelling Tony Roi is the best go see him, lol.
Yes we did get many strange looks but who cares we enjoyed
ourselves.
Yes we are going back in a couple of weeks!
Can’t go much longer than that without him so everyone that reads
this if you have not seen Tony come see what you are missing. You
will not regret it and you will be hooked just like us not on Elvis
per say but TONY!!!
