Tony in Black Leather

I have seen Tony Roi, the Elvis Experience I guess were pushing 20 times this year with my sister. But who’s counting? We try to go every 2 weeks; we were scheduled to go on the 19th of April. We read on our fan club message board that Tony had worn his 68 Comeback black leather outfit on the 17th, and we were heartbroken because we hadn't ever seen him in that. Well we got to the show and were trying to find out if Tony was going to perform in the Black Leather again, but no luck, no one would talk.

tony roiSo we made it to our seats, left front as always, and were sitting there waiting and hoping he would wear it again. The band started playing, and we stood up to greet Tony as we always do. We were clapping and swaying, but NO TONY!!!!!!!! We looked at the Powerhouse Band and the Angel singers, which are awesome by the way, we see them smiling.

Then we hear Tony singing in the back; we look around with this confused look on our face, and out he comes in his BLACK LEATHER. (OMG) We just lost our minds; we went to screaming and jumping around hanging on to each other. We found out later after the show from Dino Phillips, the drummer, that we should have seen the ladies face beside us. He said when we screamed it scared the poor woman to death (oops we bad).

Tony performed 2 new songs we hadn't heard him sing before, "Rubberneckin" and "Don’t Cry Daddy". And what a job he did too! At one point in the show, he sang "You’re the Devil In Disguise". He looked straight at my sister and said to her, “You’re the devil in disguise.” She could have wet her pants, (Sorry Sis LOL). She went to jumping around and screaming. Tony’s EYES popped out of his head! That look was priceless (like “What have I done?”).

It was an absolutely unbelievable performance. The first half was nothing but ELECTRIFYING entertainment. He kept us on the edge of our seats and out of them too. And of course he took time out to let all us fans drool on him and get our pictures taken with him (any pose you want by the way). And that was only the first half!

So now we were at the second half and still just in awe over the first half! Thinking “Oh Boy, now what?” He comes out with the same energy he had during the first half. I just don’t know where he gets his energy from. I guess from us screaming fans; the more you scream, the more he gives. He will tell you it's his house, let your hair down. If you can’t let it down, take it off! To hear Tony sing" Mountain" and "Sylvia" will just bring tears to your eyes. He really puts his heart and soul into it.

It is the most action packed two hours plus you will ever spend. After the show, Tony greets and signs autographs for us. He is such a special person; no matter how long the line is, the last person gets the same attention as the first person did. That’s what Tony’s fans (lol) mean to him. We know he loves everyone of us, and he will tell you straight up. Without us, his FANS, he wouldn't be here. And We Love Him Too!!

So if you want to see what all the talk is about and why Tony Roi is Branson’s Critic’s Best Performer for two years in a row, just check out all the reviews on Tony on bransoncritic.org. Everyone is just in the same awe as we are! So if you come to Branson, be sure to check Tony out at the Music City Centre. You won’t be disappointed, and the theater has the friendliest staff you will ever want to meet.

Oh by the way, the lady we scared in the first half, well she was screaming right along with us in the second half and she even joined Tony’s club.
