Legends in Concert and Branson’s Yellow Rose Tours announced today that they were selected by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc to host the first ever Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist� Contest in Branson. The Branson contest is one of only twenty-three tribute competitions sanctioned by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. around the world.
The Branson contest begins Wednesday, June 13th and runs weekly through the finals on July 11, 2007. It will feature performances by Elvis tribute artists from all over the country. The June 13th event will spotlight the 50’s Era, the 60’s on June 20th and the 70’s era on June 27th. The Branson finals will take place on July 11th, 2007 and the winner will travel to Memphis, Tennessee August 11-19, 2007 to compete against a number of other Elvis tribute finalists for the coveted title of Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist� of the Year.
“Branson is the Live Music Capital of the World and Legends in Concert is the World’s Largest Tribute Show featuring Elvis.” said Legends General Manager, Jeannie Horton, “It is just a natural fit for us to produce this event.”
