Once you see a Tony Roi Show you will want to see it
again, again and again. Unfortunately for many of us,
we can’t see Tony as often as we would like for
various reasons, some examples, distance and work
schedules, even for those that don’t have these
problems, there are the long cold winter months of off
season. Now when I read the message board, I so wish
I could be there for opening day, but because of
distance and other commitments, just can’t be there.
I have not been able to get to a show since Oct and
yes I am feeling sorry for myself, but am working on
my husband to get there more this next season, have
two trips and most likely a third possibily. There
are treatments for many addictions, but not this one.
I have found there are life lines that most of us
have, Tony’s CDs and the DVD. These are not as good
as the real thing but will help us through until we
can get back to Tony’s house. That is if you are
careful, not so sure it is really safe for me to play
the CD’s while I am driving, especially in the city.
I have found myself missing turns, making wrong turns
and suddenly thinking where was I going, or sitting at
a stop light that had turned green, because I became
so mesmerized by Tony’s beautiful voice.
One day I was crossing town on a less traveled street
with one of Tony’s CDs in CD player, stopped at a
light that crossed a major highway through the city.
I stopped for the light, got lost in Tony’s house and
forgot to go when light turned green. No one behind
me to blow horn at me, later I visualized conversation
I might have had if police car had been behind me.
Police officer would have come up to car window and
asked, “Is there a problem mam.” I would have
replied, “Oh no Sir, I was just in Tony’s house”.
Next question officer would have had, “Who is Tony”.
I would then explain “Tony Roi, wonderful performer
does an amazing show at Music City Center in Branson,
Mo. He has a beautiful voice, great dancer, and has
the most beautiful smile and eyes, does the best show
in Branson”. He takes old ladies like me back to
our youth, when Elvis was alive. He does a tribute to
Elvis and his music, songs such as: Teddy Bear, Hound
Dog, my favorite In the Ghetto. Tony also does some
of his own great music, in general makes people feel
better about their selves and forget their problems.
He is not only a wonderful entertainer, but also a
kind and loving person.”
Officer asks “Are you saying you were in Branson
today.” My reply, “On no sir I was in Tony’s house by
way of his CD in my CD player. When he does a show,
he says you are in my house now, no rules you can
sing, dance, scream, yell or jump up and down, I like
that feeling of freedom, that why I said I was in his
house.” Officer replies, “Ok enough already I’ll let
you go this time, but if I catch you again driving
while in Tony’s house I might have to give you a
ticket.”
What? a ticket for driving while in Tony’s house?
Might have to stop driving!
