The Best Magic Show in Branson
I have followed Kirby from one
theater to another, like Kirby says in his show he is the only
Entertainer in Branson “Touring” Branson. I enjoy Kirby’s show for a
lot of reasons, from the very Kirby’s personality on stage is very compassionate toward the art of Magic. He started at a very young age to become a magician (7). His love for the animals is genuine, in fact there are plans in motion to build an “Animal Habitat” at the theater. That has been a dream of his since he has been in Branson. At the Habitat we the tourist will be able to go back stage and see the animals in their own environment. Kirby also has plans for a VIP viewing booth at the theater where some of Kirby’s favorite and longtime fans of his can really get a close-up of the show. Kirby has all new costumes and music and dance numbers. The choreography in the show is very good. There is comedy in the show not only from the comedian in the show but Kirby himself can be quite funny. The show is very fast paced, it seems like you just get there and then the next thing you know you are in the autograph line. Which is not a bad thing. Kirby and Bambi, his wife, come out after the show and spend time with each person signing pictures or the souvenirs that you have. No matter how long the line they
stay until the end. Kirby’s personality that you saw on the stage
spills over in the autograph line. There are people that come
several times a year to his show (like me) and never get tired of
seeing and there is always something new that will entertain you. That award is a very high honor for a magician because all of the magicians in the world vote for whom they want to win the award. The seating at the theater is very good. The seats are very comfortable and “stadium” style where you can see over the person in front of you. The lobby area is a show within itself. There are antique magic posters, a replica of the Sword and the Stone where you can have your picture taken. The gift shop or “magic” shop is like a painting, all the different colors of the “brightly” colored magic tricks that are displayed on the walls and in the counters. You can by the 1st trick Kirby ever learned (cups and balls) or you can buy large tricks that you can perform in your own show. I am an amateur magician myself and his shop is where I got all my tricks for my “magic” show that I do for children’s birthday parties. Kirby’s wife Bambi is also so very talented. She and Kirby do a mental trick that will blow you away. Bambi how do you do that? Bambi also does a cute little trick with a duck and a chicken, you will question yourself on what you just saw! Bambi actually rides on stage sitting on a Unicorn, which Kirby makes them both disappear! Kids you say! Your children will be sitting on the edge of their seat. The show is so entertaining for children of ALL ages. There’s one illusion that Kirby selects a young child from the audience to help him with the trick. Kirby takes his time with the child and makes them feel totally at ease on the stage. Kirby ends up walking thru a solid glass mirror! At the end of the trick Kirby gives the child several free tickets to other shows and attractions as well as a “free” car (you will have to go and see what I mean). The child also gets a “lifetime pass” that gets them back in to see Kirby’s show for the rest of their life! The Kirby VanBurch Theater is
located at 2353 Hwy. 248 near to the Tri Lakes Center. The phone
number is 417-337-7140. Have fun and have a “magical” vacation!
