Barbara Fairchild guest stars
November 7, 2005
Two time Grammy nominee Barbara Fairchild is the guest star this
week on the Lucas Oil sponsored "Gene Williams Country Television
Show."
Gene Williams, star of the show, said, "Barbara Fairchild is no
stranger to the world of music and entertainment. She has been
entertaining since she was five years old. She is from Knoble, Ark.,
and made her first television appearance on my show, the ‘Gene
Williams Country Junction Show’ in 1963 on KAIT-TV Channel 18 in
Jonesboro, Ark. On this week’s telecast of my show, she sings her
signature song, her #1 hit single ‘The Teddy Bear Song.’ Her unique
vocal quality and heartfelt delivery captivates audiences and her
fans, in return, adore her. She has performed around the world
including many European and USO tours. She has been seen on TNN, the
Tonight Show, Hee Haw and TBN. Right now in Branson she can be seen
on stage with the Grand Ladies of Country Music."
