A Delightful Surprise - Darren Romeo

This show is a delightful surprise! My husband, along with my parents, aunt and uncle, arrived in Branson late one summer evening. We stopped on the way into Branson at a ticket/information place to book some shows for the following day. On the recommendation of the sales people there, we were given recommendations on what shows we would be interested in seeing.

Never hearing of Darren Romeo, we thought, “Why not?!” It sounded interesting. A singing magician? Well, we would certainly try give this show a try.

We are so glad we went to see this fantastic show. It was terrific! There was something for everyone. The music, illusions, and the comedy were all in a unique blend. The show went by so quickly. We couldn’t believe how fast the time went. We enjoyed the audience participation with Darren Romeo. How surprised my mother was when Darren came out to the audience and led her on stage for a song! She was hooked!

The illusions and magic are spectacular. My husband kept saying, “How did he do that?!” Watching Jeff Gordon’s car disappear was truly baffling. You were afraid to blink in case you would miss something!

My favorite parts of the show were the songs Darren Romeo sang from “Phantom of the Opera” and the other Broadway songs. His voice is very powerful and captivating. His voice haunts you. The songs he sings stays in your head for days.

Mr. Romeo has the personality and the charm to capture the audience. He really seems to enjoy performing and exchanging words with the audience members. His lovely leading lady, Kristy, was so graceful and eye-catching with her beautiful costumes.
We stood in line after the show to get our CD autographed. How charming both Darren and Kristy are. How patient they are with requests for photographs.

This show is one I highly recommend. The variety of the songs, from the oldies to the Broadway songs enhances the magic. What a terrific blend!

If you could only choose one show to watch at Branson, make it this one!
