THE DUTTONS 2008

August 4, 2008

Branson is about wholesome family entertainment.  The Dutton family understands this as well as anyone in the business and the entire family works together to present the best in wholesome entertainment.  How so much talent can exist in one family is beyond my ability to explain, but it is there; I and millions of others have seen it for ourselves.  Last year The Duttons were among the top 10 finalists on America’s Got Talent.  Millions of TV viewers got to see just a small sampling of their abilities.  Here in Branson, locals and visitors are treated to a full two-hour top quality production that showcases the special talents of three generations of this amazing family in their own theatre.

If I can say one word about The Dutton's it would be AMAZING.

Their is so much talent up on that stage from Ben's amazing dancing talent, to Tim being able to play any instrument he picks up, to Judith's amazing voice, to Amy playing a mean violin.

They keep everyone's toes a tapping and hands a clapping until that final curtain goes down. All of them are also such wonderful people.

They make you feel like you are apart of their family. I found myself going back and getting my DUTTON FIX often.

Branson Dad and I (Branson Bride) LOVE THIS SHOW A LOT!

THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME FOR US TO VISIT BRANSON AND WE JUST HAD TO SEE THE DUTTONS NEW SHOW FOR 2011.

LAST YEARS SHOW WAS INCREDABLE AND WE WERE SURE THE NEW SHOW WOULD BE BETTER, AND WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED.

WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET SEATS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE THIRD ROW. TO SEE AND HEAR THEIR SONG AND DANCE WITH THEIR FAMILY WAS TRUELY AN EXPERIENCE WE WILL REMEMBER.

HIS COUSIN HUILO PAID THEM A VISIT AND WAS A GREAT ADDITION TO THIS FAMILY SHOW.

THE TRIBUTE TO ALL THE SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN WAS VERY TOUCHING AND THE DUTTONS LOVE THIS USA AND THEY SHOWED IT.

IT WOULD TAKE ME TOO LONG TO TELL YOU ABOUT ALL THE GREAT TALENT THIS FAMILY HAS AND MOM AND DAD ALONG SOME OF THEIR MANY GRANDCHILDREN ALSO PLAYED A PART IN THIS FABULAS SHOW.

WHEN IN BRANSON YOU MUST TAKE THE TIME TO SEE THIS SHOW. YOU WILL WANT TO PURCHASE ONE OF THEIR DVDs TO SHOW YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS BACK HOME.

IT WOULD BE SO GREAT IF THEY COULD MAKE A TRIP TO OUR THEATER IN NEWARK, OHIO. ONE CAN ONLY HOPE......

I am happy to write about the Duttons' Family show. From the very beginning we felt welcomed and at home with the Duttons. They combined song, dance, drama, and comedy that entertained a wide range of ages. The audience felt like they were friends of the family. We didn't just sit and be entertained, there was audience participation and interaction as well.
It was so refreshing to have wholesome entertainment. My 11 year old daughter and 81 yr. old mother were with us and there was NEVER a moment of inappropriate songs, dance, or jokes.

I was especially impressed by their tribute to the veterans. It was awesome to see the veterans in the audience stand and be recognized. It was very touching.

I wish more entertainers would focus on positive and uplifting entertainment like the Dutton Family. It was an evening of entertainment I will remember fondly for years and years to come. I plan to see them again...hopefully soon.

I, along with my eighty-year old mother, eleven -year old niece, and sister got off the plane in Kansas City, and drove to Branson to see the Duttons. We even stayed in their oh-so-nice, clean and peaceful Inn after the evening show.

What a fun and enjoyable evening! The minute we walked in the theater, we felt 'welcomed' and a part of the 'family' atmosphere. We loved the variety and friendliness. We appreciated the cleanliness and family-geared surroundings. The Duttons prior to the show, intermission and afterwards, mingle with the audience. You become 'fast friends' with the entire family. Keeps one smiling, long after the show is over.

As for the show....GREAT! What a talented, warm, happy family! Their shows are entertaining, lively, sentimental and clean. The humor is crazy and fun and laughable. All of their music, singing, and dancing come "alive" on stage. As a member of the audience you really are in 'awe' at their talents as a family and as individuals. We also appreciated the decent, colorful, clever and modest costumes that each person wore. Their back-drops, screens and digital effects added to the wonderful, enjoyable show! Each family member 'glowed' with enthusiasm as they performed.

We were so very glad we made that trip to Branson. Would we go again, just to see the Duttons....in a heart beat!

We think they are the best!

This show is such a great family show with something for everyone.

They have so much energy and I really love the whole "Kid" parts in the show. I have seen the show at least 10 times and never get tired of it. Each of the members of the family are so talented and are each experts in their own rights. Their show never gets boring and you are kept alert at all times, you never see people sleeping from boredom.

I feel they are the greatest show in Branson!

I will say this is the best show I have seen in Branson.

There is so much variety in the show. The all can play so many instruments and they all have such beautiful harmony. They also are so nice to their fans and they make everyone in the show feel like family. Even after the show they take time to shake everyone’s hand and get a picture with them. They treat you like family. More then anything it was how they treated their fans. They are all so nice. I can’t express enough how nice they are. Plus I would like to also point out for those that don’t know. But they were in the America's got Talent on NBC and were in the top 10. Also if you have young kids, it is a great show to take them to. There are a few segments when their kids come out and do part of the show. They all can sing also! The part they do of Wizard of Oz is so cute. Your kids and grand kids will be entertained. If you’re looking for a show with more variety and a show that don’t repeat itself year from year then the Duttons is for you! You will not be disappointed!!! For previews of the Duttons I would try YouTube and you will see what I mean!!!!

A month prior to our visit we booked our stay in the Dutton Inn and it came with discounted tickets to the show. While speaking to the representative on the phone we already felt like we were at home!! When I explained that it was my birthday trip, she even offered us front row seats. How exciting it was!! Upon check in to the Inn the front desk was very eager to tell us about their Inn and explained what we needed to know and made sure we had our confirmation to take to the box office for our tickets.

The next morning we went to the box office window where we were greeted by the some down home family friendly attitude that we received at the Inn. After a 4 mile walk down the green and yellow strips, we were very tired. The excitement started buzzing and it was time for the show! It was like a real wake up call. They aren't like most shows where you don't even see the performer's before the show. They love to be out with the people greeting and shaking hands. They want to know who we are. This is the most wholesome family show, full of togetherness and harmony. They drawl you into their inner circle and make you feel right at home. They don't have to seek audience interaction, it comes naturally.

They recognize important celebrations like anniversaries and birthdays. The personalized mementos that you can take home in the form of a DVD are the best souvenirs as they are taped live and included all the audience participation that makes it so exciting.

What a wonderful show!!

First, the Dutton family and staff are so friendly, polite and just a joy to speak with out side the show. The show has something for people of all ages and of all types of music. Most of the grandchildren are involved in some part of the show and it is just cute. They have some of the best fudge for sale at the concession stand plus other goodies. Also, they create DVD's of the show that you can purchase and bring home to relive the good memories of the show.

After the show, the family will come out and talk to anyone who cares to say hi. This is one of a couple shows that I would see several times during one visit in Branson.

I saw the Dutton's show while they were at our county fair. I have seen them a few times and every time I see them it's a new show and they keep getting more fun to watch. I was very impressed with the quality of their voices and the quality of the sound at the show. Their routine was very fun and interesting to watch. I had a ball and could have watched longer and wish it had been longer.

I love the variety of talent they have and the newest thing I've noticed in the incorporation of the grandkids. What a ball. The kids were cute and talented. I loved the Wizard of Oz theme. I especially loved the little lion. Years ago I really enjoyed seeing their "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou" theme. I saw that one in their theater in Branson.

They have a very well rounded show with something for everyone- A hugely broad variety of music. I'm so impressed that they are all members of the same family. And they play so many different instruments so well. Wow. So many kids come away from their shows with a desire to play something musical.

I think it's a fantastic show that anyone would love to see. I could watch their show again and again. And I guarantee it won't be the same show the next time you see it. That's fun.

I am writing this to say that "THE DUTTONS" performance in Branson are my number one show.

I went to twelve shows that week I was there. I was in Branson to visit friends of mine for a week. I had seen the Dutton show before a few years ago and they were great then and now their performance was even better than before.

They get to entire crowd involved. I met some of the performers after the show and they were all so nice to talk with. What a talented family. They sing, dance, play instruments of all kinds and have added clogging to their long list of talents.

Truly awesome and I will return again and again to see this show.

We just saw the Dutton Family Show in Branson. They performed a variety of songs and on several different stringed instruments. Their vocal harmonies were very tight and they even included tap dancing in their routine. We have seen several shows in Branson. By far, the Duttons are the most talented musicians that we have heard. They are funny, spontaneous, and even feature some of the grandchildren in their show. As a professional musician, I appreciate the talent that this family exhibits performing effortlessly on the various instruments used in their show. I believe that they have the best show in Branson and encourage anybody visiting Branson to see the Duttons at their family theater.

It was amazing! I loved all the different instruments and the different genres that were used in the show. The theme was upbeat and I smiled the entire time! I appreciated the respectful nature of the songs that were picked and performed as well. I felt proud to be an American and part of the "Branson family" having watched them perform twice.

My favorite part was when they performed "Devin Went Down to Georgia." I have heard that song so many times, but with all the different instruments is was really fantastic. Plus they interacted with the crowd in such a way that I was drawn in.

Finally, they didn't just play music -- they knocked it out of the park!

The Dutton’s Show is the best show I have ever seen in Branson, though there are many good shows, I love the family values and the interaction of the family members with each other during the show. You can tell that they are genuinely having a good time with each other and with the audience. I love the Pre-show interaction with the family in the lobby. They are the most down to earth and personable performers I have seen in Branson or anywhere for that matter. I love the fact that most of their family perform in the show, including grandchildren. I have seen the show in different seasons of the year and have been impressed with the variety of performers and performances. There are other reasons that I believe The Dutton’s Show is the best in Branson, however, these are the main reasons.

Totally Blown Away! That is the only way I know how to describe how my family and I felt when we saw the Duttons perform.

I work for two newspapers as a freelance columnist and was in Branson to cover many of the shows in town. I really enjoyed most of them, but The Duttons was unlike any others. They are in a class of their own! From beginning to end, there was an electricity and excitement in the air. And one thing different about their show than some of the others, is the look on their faces as they perform... You can see that they are actually enjoying what they do and putting 100% of themselves into everything. Amazing!

This family has it all! Creative comedy routines, beautiful voices, great dance moves and an endless supply of God given musical talent.

As you know, you will meet a lot of people and make many new friends while in Branson. I met people from Nebraska, Oklahoma, Texas and even Canada and they asked me, "Have you seen the Duttons yet?" And after a few minutes of the show, it wasn't hard to see what they were talking about. You'll laugh, you'll tear up, you'll feel patriotic and you'll even want to rip out a few rows of seats and start dancing.

Take it from this writer; The Duttons is the show to see in Branson. I'll be back soon, just to see them again! I'm telling everyone I know: "Go SEE THE DUTTONS!"

Duttons, you ROCK! ;)

I thoroughly enjoyed the Dutton's. I appreciate the wholesome environment. I can always feel confident in referring FAMILIES to attend their show and not have to worry about any surprises!

The Family is extremely talented and it is amazing how the WHOLE family is involved right down to the next generation.

I LOVE THE FUDGE! In addition to the amazing talent, the refreshments offered are incredible, mainly speaking of the infamous Dutton Fudge! YUM!

Oh yes, and how can we forget "Cousin Julio" Spain and his "stretchy pants!" Hilarious!

I so appreciate the Dutton Families hospitality. They take the time to stick around to personally greet their guests and thank them for spending the evening with them. Very impressive!

Thank you Dutton Family for provided wholesome family fun for the world! We need more entertainers who bring "great entertainment for the WHOLE FAMILY" back to the mainstream of the entertainment world! You guys rock!

It was the best and entertaining show I’ve ever seen.

The DUTTONS are so friendly and takes time with the fans. Some of the shows like the Presleys and the Haygoods- they don’t care about the fans and don’t take time for pictures or even shake you hand.

People spend their hard earned money to see the shows and the DUTTONS rock. I’m seeing them twice this year.

Amazing! Absolutely amazing. We go back and see The Duttons every year because my children like the show so much. And every year, there are a few different things in the show to keep regulars like us entertained. But my goodness!! All kinds of new things in this years' show. Some really cool effects too. not only are there new songs, there are new costumes and a new character...is it Julio? I wasn't sure about him at first, but by the end of the show Benjamin's alter ego had me in stitches. The music was wonderful, as usual. We expect a lot of the Duttons and are never disappointed. Theater was about 3/4 full and the people that sat around us were just as delighted as we were. The lady next to us had never been to see the show before, but she comes to Branson all the time. She kept saying to herself, "Oh my gosh, why haven't I ever come here before? This is fantastic!" We chatted a little after the show and I told her a little bit about our family and how we come back almost every year and she was saying, "That's it1 That is what I have to do now! This was such FUN!"

One thing in particular caught my eye this year--how much the little ones have grown and how entertaining they are! The oldest granddaughter has matured so beautifully and is in the show a lot more, playing her violin and singing on a lot of the group numbers. She was delightful and fresh to watch. you can tell that she really enjoys the music. Loved Amy's new classical piece as well. Wow! the woman is obviously expecting, and she looks so beautiful on stage, singing and dancing right up there with the rest of them. I have no idea how she managed to play that killer violin piece around that baby, but WOW. She even got a standing ovation from the audience after that piece.
We live fairly close to Branson, and go there often, saw previews for two other shows in their theater and am looking forward to going back to see them. A handsome singer named George and a new vocal group called the cats pajamas. Guess we'll have to go back again soon. Maybe as soon as Amy has that baby...

It is so refreshing to sit in a comfortable theater and be entertained by such a wonderful family. They are so talented and what a great example of what a family should be. They have so much talent and use so many different instruments. I truly love how the grandchildren are starting to perform in the show. Their talents are unbelievable. In today's world it is so good to be able to laugh. That is so good for the body and soul. You truly appreciate their talents when you go and try to sing a song that you think you know on a Karaoke machine. It's really difficult, but they do a great job singing the song that you are familiar with exactly the way it should be sung. We live in Arizona and we are planning to move to Missouri and we have a tour. We plan on bringing a bus load of people to see their show. We know that they will love it like we do. Our children love the Dutton's show also.

My husband and I loved the show! It was magnificent. The talents of the Duttons were so phenomenal. The variety of music, dance, instrumentality of the family, plus the choreography, was pure excellence. The show was for all ages. It was exciting and one of the funniest shows I seen in a long, long time. A wonderful and fantastic variety of rock and roll for us baby boomers, and yet it was just as great for our children and grandchildren, too. We were constantly amazed at all the many different instruments each of the Duttons played. I would vote them the best show in Branson. You can see it all in one show, amazing voices and superb acting. We loved seeing the Dutton children be a very large part of the show. They were the best gospel music in town. I loved the interaction with the Duttons among themselves and with the audience. They made me feel like part of their family. It was very up! Close and personal. I would recommend them to all my family and friends.

A lifetime fan,

Our group had seniors, 40 something’s, and kids. We all loved the show. So much enthusiasm, energy, humor, versatility, and talent all on one stage.

My nine year old son will never forget "Julio" (played by Ben). He will think of "Julio" out of the blue, repeat some joke "Julio" said, and just start laughing. We found “Julio” riding his horse especially entertaining.

We loved all the kids! Little Timmy Dutton was great as the "Lion" in the "Wizard of Oz" segment. They were all adorable as little inmates in their black and white prison jumpsuits for “Jailhouse Rock”. And the grandkids singing with Grandpa Dutton was priceless.

The musical skills in this family are unbelievable. Amy’s violin skills, dueling banjos by Tim and Abby, all around great talent with Jonathan, and the humor and fabulous dancing from Ben makes for a complete show. The highlight, though, has to be all the Dutton's lined up in a row, playing each other's violins, playing “Boil Them Cabbage Down”.

With so much garbage in the world, this wholesome family entertainment is a very welcome change. I only wish Branson were closer so we could see their shows more often.

The Duttons Show is a show I see each year because they update the show for their repeat customers.  Other shows say they do this, but The Duttons actually do it.  This year their new Production numbers are Wizard of Oz themed.  Judith Dutton sings "Over the Rainbow" in such a beautiful way that I was mesmerized. Even though I know that song by heart, Judith Dutton makes it feel like this is the first time I was hearing and appreciating it beautiful words.  Little Timmy Dutton stops the show with his "Cowardly Lion".  His big talent uncannily captures Bert Lahr's famous movie role of the Cowardly Lion.  I also love knowing that some of my favorite songs from past shows will be sung.  "Cotton Eye Joe" is an example of a song I would be disappointed if I wasn't able to enjoy again.  Even my old favorites are done with a new twist each year.  So, in closing, I will say that I am afraid not to see The Duttons Show each and every year because I am afraid I will miss something special.

LOVED this show. Best show we have ever seen in Branson! Ben in incredibly funny on comedy one liners and his showmanship rules, but I can't believe he plays a bluegrass cello. Can Amy play her fiddle any faster, from Pachobel to Orange Blossom, it really takes off, and she smiles the entire time (esp. on the 1/8 size violin solo!) . Chris the drummer and his two solos might be some of the best placed drum solos of all shows. Often, the drummer is always banging away and can ruin a song, but he is so blended he sounds great. Jon's banjo, he plays behind his back faster than any other foggy. And his act with Ben at intermission, still keeps us rolling. Mom and Dad Dutton are so impressive on the song where they dance "when you say nothing at all" and Abby, one of our favorites and her perfect smile and incredible banjo. And Judith, talk about talent, piano, singing, ...the show really moves so well. It's timed great, and it really rocks. And who can forget Tim, what can't he p
lay. Loved the mandolin, guitar, banjo, fiddle. It's honestly one of the best shows we've seen. And they can all clog dance too! Don't miss this incredible show. Great for every age. We laughed, sang, danced along, and smiled non-stop. We've been back several times and will do so again.

The Duttons was the absolute best show I saw in Branson. I've seen most of the shows there over the years, and The Duttons show completely blew me away. The most amazing thing about this show is the talent of this family. They all play several instruments, sing, and dance. Some of the shows in Branson, and I'm not going to say who, use prerecorded music etc. It's only obvious. The Duttons do not do this. Their music is fresh and live. It is absolutely beautiful. My favorite singer in the family is one they don't use often enough, Judith Dutton, who is usually on the keyboards, has the most lovely singing voice on the stage.

The violin playing by the rest of the family is totally unbelievable, especially Tim and Amy Dutton. Their show is the best when they just play. It is amazing. I have heard music all over the country, and theirs compares with the best.

The Dutton family show is the best all around family show year after year. We are always amazed at the versatility of all the musicians in this group and they never disappoint. This year was no exception from the first draw of the bow on the fiddle to the hand clapping tune of "Boil them cabbages down" in the finale. Whether it is Timothy in a heart rendering song with his daughter, Rachel or a classic comic stick to sell the latest merchandise by Jonathan and Benjamin, it is all entertaining. This year we were privileged to hear Dean Dutton sing "Sixteen Tons". Amy and Abby always delight the crowd. I must admit to envy of their ease with every instrument they play. They seem to switch effortlessly from gospel to country to classic and back again. What a Family!!

We have been coming to Branson for several years and try to catch the Duttons at least once a year. The Dutton kids are just as talented as the parents. This year their rendition of the "Wizard of Oz" was wonderful. Our grandkids were excited to see what the kids were doing this year since the Dutton show video is viewed over and over again when we return home. We have watched them "Splish, Splash, taking a bath" and take to the chimney tops ala "Mary Poppins". Who knows what will be coming next year from this talented bunch.

We see the Duttons several times a year. I enjoy bringing folks that haven't seen the show before and watch them marvel at the talent on stage. This was a perfect show. Everyone was spot on and I never heard them do a better job. They are the best show in Branson. We have seen 11 different shows this year and they were all really good; but this is the show we will attend again and again.

I never enjoy "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". In fact, I usually cringe when I hear the music start this song. Finally, Judith Dutton sings it perfectly. She doesn't try to over reach the song as so many do. It is a delight to hear someone sing it so well.

The thing I enjoy most about the Duttons is the show never grows stale. They constantly update and make changes during the season. The only negative about the Duttons show is that they can't keep each song I have heard them perform, but then I guess it would be an all day show. You can tell the Duttons are not just going through the motions, but enjoying their time on stage together. Instead of competing they are cheering for each other. The kids add so much to the fun of the show. They are wise enough to leave you wishing you had seen more of the kids.

We were pleased that our two guests announced that they are now Dutton fans. All their comments about the show were positive and they assured us they will now be taking others to see this great show. They were impressed with the variety of different types of music, and the many instruments each of the Duttons can skillfully play.

In a couple of weeks we will be taking another couple to introduce them to "The Duttons", Branson's best.

We saw the Duttons May 17. We love their show.

I guess what we really look for in a show is talent and entertainment and they couldn't score any higher. We have never seen any show with such energy, fun, enthusisam, and love for the audience and each other. They really draw you in. They do it all. Their children were unbelievable!! The young lady singing the Teddy Bear song was so talented, she will go far!! We saw 11 shows and they were the best!!!! If I could only see one show in Branson, again it would be theirs. I understand why they made it to the top ten out of 100,000 shows on America's Got Talent. That itself says ALOT!!!! GO DUTTONS!!!!!

Their love for one another is apparent, but their love and appreciation of everyone that comes into their theatre is even more evident. Whether it be their own flesh and blood, an employee, or a fan, every person that goes into their show is treated like they are part of the family... which isn't hard since there are already so many of them! hah...

But their show will make you laugh, make you want to cry, and make you want to go back in time to the "good ol'days." All of them play at least 6 different instruments, have striking voices, and produced a few handfuls of beautiful children [who are also very talented].

I was in Branson recently and, of course, went to see the Duttons show. However, the next day I went and seen the show Six, which is a fabulous and interesting show, but the whole time I felt like I was cheating on the Duttons, haha... Even though my love for the Dutton family will not stop me from visiting other shows, my loyalty remains in tact. I went from a fan to a friend, and I wouldn't want it any other way!

Great time, greater show, greatest people in Branson! GO SEE The DUTTONS! :D

The Duttons
The Dutton Family Theatre

We were more then ready to join the Duttons for the 2009 season. This is our must see show in Branson. We tell everyone this is the best show in Branson. We have already been to 4 shows this spring and haven't changed our minds. The Duttons are Branson's best.

I grew up in the Ozarks and have often heard the expression, "If it ain't broke don't fix it." The Duttons are always great, but they don't follow that rule. They constantly change their show, so it isn't just the same show year after year. In fact, we have noticed they often do changes during the year as well.

I enjoy seeing the new numbers, beautiful clothes and costumes.

Some of the new numbers this year are from the Wizard of Oz; One fine day- with Amy, Abby, and Judith sounding like it was a fine day; Bye Bye Love; and 16 Tons. Dean Dutton proves this year where Josh, Tim, Ben, and Jonathan got their talent when he does the 16 Tons number. They take time to change the numbers to fit their adorable kids as they grow. I wanted to bring the Cowardly lion home with me. I recognized that face as little Tim Dutton.

Tim and Judith brought back a favorite of ours, "When you say nothing at all". They haven't done it for a few years. I love when Dean and Sheila come out and dance during the song. They listened to their message board fans and did Pachelbel's Canon again this year. It is a favorite of many. The Duttons are wise enough not to change every thing, they have songs that are a must in the show.

I will say on this afternoon it was great to not only see the usual standing ovation at the end of the show, but I noticed more then once many in the audience were giving standing ovations at various parts of the show. I enjoy listening to what audience members around us are saying during the show. I have yet to hear a negative comment. Often folks will say it was their first visit, but it won't be their last.

The parking lot was over flowing and the theatre was very full. It was a perfect afternoon in Branson thanks to The Duttons.
